Ruth was born January 3, 1964, in Niles, Michigan, to her parents William and Hilda. She was raised with her five siblings in Holland and graduated from Holland High School. Ruth raised her daughter Michelle and worked for many years as a massage therapist. She was preceded in death by her brother, Isaac Salas.
Ruth is survived by her significant other Steve Van Vuren of Hudsonville, her daughter Michelle Marie Wiersema of Tampa, Florida, mother and step-father Hilda and Elvin Quinones, father and step-mother William and Ruth Salas, Ruth’s siblings: Zoraida Morgan, Jacob Salas, Ismael (Gracie) Salas, and Stacey Salas.
A visitation will be held 10:00 am–12:00 noon, and 5:00–7:00 pm, Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464.
Memorial contributions in Ruth’s honor may be given to Susan Mast ALS Foundation, 2500 Waldorf Ct., NW b, Grand Rapids, MI 49544.
