HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 14-year-old bicyclist went by AMR ambulance to Holland Hospital for treatment of what police called minor injuries after running into a car, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s authorities.
The teen had been pedaling around with an 18-year-old bicyclist just before 11:15 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020, when the two attempted crossing five lanes of traffic on Butternut Drive, near Woodland Drive in Holland Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill. They didn’t have lights on the bikes, Dill said.
They both collided with a car that had a 29-year-old Holland woman at the wheel.
The 18-year-old bicyclist was treated and released at the scene. The driver was physically unhurt.
No names were released.
