HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland police and Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two instances of auto thefts — one involving a high-speed chase. It’s unclear if these are connected.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the breaking-and-entering just after 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2020, at European Autohaus, 1890 112th Ave., in Holland Township. Investigators learned a vehicle had been stolen from the dealership, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Dennis Luce. The vehicle was recovered a short time later in the City of Grand Rapids. The suspects haven’t yet been found.
Holland police are looking for suspects in a similar crime at Elhart 822 Chicago Drive, in which three vehicles were stolen and have not been recovered, according to a WOOD TV 8 report.
