HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in a stabbing on the 13800 block of North Traditions Way, Holland Township that happened just after 1:30 p.m.Tuesday afternoon, June 30, 2020.
The suspect, according to police, is Maurice Alan Butler, 31. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jean shorts. He is 6 feet tall, weighs about 170 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
Police were called to the scene on the report of two subjects fighting with knives. They found the victim, a 31-year-old man, with a non-life-threatening stab wound and he went by ambulace to Holland Hospital treatment.
The suspect fled the scene, initially, but police say he may have returned to his home in the apartment complex not far away.
Deputies established a perimeter around his building, then learned a 13-year-old girl was inside with Butler. Once they were able to get her to exit, police, who had a warrant, searched the apartmetn, but did not find Butler.
