HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Township’s board of trustees will have a special meeting at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, July 2, 2020. They’ll vote to order a 300-foot slow, no-wake zone along the township’s portion of Lake Macatawa.
Park Township trustees and Port Sheldon Township trustees made similar moves last month. Park Township aimed to protect another section of Lake Macatawa. Port Sheldon officials put all of Pigeon Lake into a slow, no-wake zone through mid-December of this year.
Last night, Holland City Council voted unanimously to protect Lake Macatawa’s narrows and within 300 feet of any shore, dock or pierhead.
