HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 47-year-old Texas man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash just before 10:15 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2020, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Rotman.Deputies found that a 55-year-old Grand Haven man, driving a 2011 Mercedes Benz SUV east on North Cedar Drive near 108th Avenue in Robinton Township, failed to negotiate a curve.
The SUV left the road, rolled, and hit a tree.
The Texas man was a pasenger in the SUV and was not wearing is seat belt, police said.
He went by North Ottawa Ambulance to Hackley Hospital by with serious injuries. The driver went by Life Ambulance to Hackley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
The incident remains under investigation by Sheriff’s officials, who say alcohol may be a factor in the crash.
Robinson Township firefighters assisted at the scene.
