Modesta was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a life-long member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Modesta was preceded in passing by her parents; her son, Tannis Alvarado, and an infant daughter, Manuelita Jaime.
She is survived by her children: Carlos (Nella) Jaime, Mary (Don) Hasting, Christina (Jim) Penkala, Sandra Stam, Joe Jaime, Tony Alvarado, Benny (Linda) Alvarado, Robert (Cassie) Alvarado; 28 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass for Modesta will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. The family welcomes you for prayers and a Rosary prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m. A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, June 9, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th St, Holland. Burial will take place at Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. www.langelandsterenberg.com.
