HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The Michigan Secretary of State office at 587 E. Eighth St. in Holland will close for light remodeling next week.
The office will be closed for a legal holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, and remain closed until 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2019.
Customers and staff will benefit from renovations, including new data lines to speed transactions, new carpet and a newly painted lobby, according to state officials. Electrical updates will be included as part of this project.
The ExpressSOS website allows customers to renew their tabs and driver’s licenses, get a duplicate registration or title, change their address and register to be an organ donor. Customers can renew their driver’s licenses and tabs for their vehicles, motorcycles or boats, print their receipt and drive legally until they get their card or sticker in the mail.
Every eight years, customers must visit an SOS office for a new driver’s license, at which time they must pass a vision test and get an updated photo.
