GRAND RAPIDS (WHTC-AM/FM) — A winter weather advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. today, Feb. 6, 2019, according to meteorologists from the Grand Rapids office of theNational Weather Service.
West Michigan residents can expect intermittent freezing rain and drizzle through the morning commute with a light glaze expected.
Spotty power outages have aready been reported on the north and northeast sections of Ottawa County, with hundreds of residents in the dark near Port Sheldon and Robinson townships.
Tree damage from the ice is likely.
Travel could be very difficult during Wednesday morning’s commute. Expect slippery roads and intermittent limited visibility.
