HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — There’s a $5,000 check on its way to the Olive Township-based BestPals Animal Rescue Center.
The no-kill animal rescue earned the most votes in Old National Banks’ Choose Your Charity promotion.
BestPals’ mission is “to provide a guaranteed adoption for owner-surrendered companion animals and to partner with other organizations to provide a No Kill community.,” according to its mission statement.
The prize money, BestPals’ founder Michelle Kenat told WHTC, will be put to very good use.
She’s been creating a quarantine room, using cages donated by Mapleview Animal Hospital and donations of paint, flooring and other supplies the room.
