OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — A Grand Haven bridge malfunction led to a three-vehicle traffic injury crash on Friday evening, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rick Sykes.Southbound U.S. 31 traffic had stopped near Ridge Street in Ferrysburg because of the problem, and an 18-year-old Muskegon woman driving a 2007 Dodge Neon did not stop in time. The Neon crashed into a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox with a 49-year-old Grand Haven resident at the wheel, sending the SUV into a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 27-year-old Fennville man. The Muskegon woman and Fennville man were each taken by PRO-MED ambulance to Hackley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Sykes. This crash remains under investigation by Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies; no names are being released at this time.
