OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Areas in Ottawa County are experiencing some minor road flooding in the wake of heavy overnight rain, according to the county’s emergency manager, Nick Bonstell.
The following roads are affected by some flooding.
- Olive Township: Polk Street between 96th Ave and 104th Ave. Detour is north to Stanton Street.
- Hudsonville/ Zeeland: Chicago Drive and 48th Ave. The westbound lanes are flooded west of 48th Ave on Chicago Drive.
The heavy rains will cause the Grand River to rise with an expected crest early next week.
No widespread flooding is expected, however some of the low lying areas in Robinson Township may see some water over the roadways. Continue to follow Ottawa County Emergency Management on Facebook @OttawaEM for up to date information.
