HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — o a lawn where a 61-year-old Holland Township man was on a riding mower. He turned the mower and was struck, head on. The impact sent the man flying from the mower, and he fell onto the Hyundairs hood and windshield.
Three people were hurt after a truck, a car and a riding lawn mower collided just after 2:15 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, near the intersection of Greenly Street and Snip Drive in Holland Township.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Buter said deputies found that a 59-year-old Holland man, driving a 2018 Toyota pickup and turning north onto Snip Drive from Greenly, failed to yield to a 65-year-old Holland woman, driving west on Greenly in a 2015 Hyundai.
The collision sent the Hyundai ontAll three people were taken to area hospitals, Buter said, where their respective injuries are not believed to be life-threatending. The Toyota pickup driver has been ticketed for failing to yield.
