OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives have arrested Holland Township resident David Angelo Roberts, 27, on suspicion of disorderly window peeping.
Police took him into custody Tuesday evening, June 4, 2019 at his Holland Township home, according to Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett.
Police dispatchers received several calls on May 30, 2019, from residents on the 1700 block of 104th Avenue — a street just outside the City of Zeeland — and reports of a suspicious individual peeping itno windows there.
Some evidence indicated Roberts would be a suspect, Bennett said.
Police now believe he may be involved in several other window peeper complaints over the last four months in Ottawa County. Police believe Roberts was driving a burgundy 2008 Hyundai Sonata during that time. Detectives also learned Roberts may be involved in similar cases in and around Livonia, MI, where he has family. Roberts also faces two counts of resisting arrest, “based upon actions that he took when he was apprehended on Tuesday evening,” Bennett said in an email to media Wednesday afternoon.
Roberts remains in the Ottawa County Jail. The incident remains under investigation, Bennett said, asking anyone with information to call Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT.
