HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland City Council is set to meet tonight at City Hall, 270 S. River Ave., with a pre-meeting gathering at 5:30, followed by the regular 7 p.m. regular business meeting.
Among the agenda items:
Council will consider re-instating the public lodging license for the Economy Inn, at 409 US 31. City officials shuttered the motel last October, over a host of violations.
The motel has a new management company, N & R Management LLC, with references, and city officials inidated the company appears to have a positive track record in managing hotels over many years.
As part of the license re-instatement agreement, the Economy Inn will no longer allow extended stay guests, except as part of a corporate contract, provides security by new management, and have a clear and regular maintenance and repairs schedule, with annual inspections to maintain compliance.
