HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 25-year-old Minnesota man was suffered a head injury when his bike collided with a Max Transit bus just before 8 a.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2019, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s authorities.
It happened near the intersection of Clover and Eighth streets. Police found the bicyclist was eastbound on the bike path, and attempted to cross East Eighth Street at the intersection, when he rode into the front of the bus.
The 45-year-old Holland bus driver notified authorities he’d pulled up to the intersection, and was stopped when the bike hit the bus.
The bike rider has been wearing a helmet and went to Holland Hospital in an AMR ambulance for treatment of a head injury, police said. This crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
