HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Allegan County Clerk and Register of Deeds Bob Genetski announced a new record system that he says will shorten wait times for residents and expand services for his office.
He says the new online search and purchase functions will save residents a drive to Allegan to apply for the records in person. Services will be available 24 hours a day.
The cost for a document is $1 per page, with credit card processing fees starting at $1.50 for purchases valued at $1 to $50, rising to 1.75 for of $50.01 to $75; $3 for purchases valued at $75.01 to $100; and $5 for purchases of $100.01 to $150.
The new record system, County Fusion, is produced Dallas-based Kofile Technologies, Inc., a company that serves 29 other Michigan counties.
Kofile was awarded the contract after a thorough RFP process conducted by Allegan Countylast summer. The new system will cost nearly $245,000.
Genetski indicated the new system will allow his office to expand online services in the future.
