HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — An Allendale home was hit by a maroon 2007 Pontiac, with a 27-year-old Allendale woman at the wheel.
No one was hurt, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Buter.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at 11095 68th Ave.
Police found that the driver had been in a heated conversation with her boyfriend, using her phone, just before the crash. She lost control of the car, Buter said, hitting a utility box, after which the car went through a yard and his the home.
Because the crash was related to distracted driving, Buter said, the driver was cited for careless driving.
