HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Saugatuck’s Board of Education has a business meeting set for 6 p.m. Monday, at Saugatuck Middle-High School Media Center, 401 Elizabeth St.
Board members will review new textbooks for the district’s first advanced-placement classes for government and chemistry.
Superintendent Tim Travis will review safe sports awards and school safety plans. He told WHTC the district works with both Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies and Douglas police. District employees had safety training sessions during the last school year.
He said teachers this year will have upgraded safety kits. (Hear his interview with Gary Stevens.)
Travis will also update the board on district financials, the facilities planning committe work and give a survey update related to the revamping the millage request.
The meeting will have time for public comment.
