HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Perhaps the most nervous person in Holland as this weekend approaches is the person who is also looking forward to it with the most anticipation.
Esther Fifelski has been a major driving force behind the first International Festival of Holland that is slated for Saturday. The city of Holland’s Human and International Relations Manager is hopeful that all of the planning and hard work that has gone on for many months will result in what many are hoping will be the newest annual tradition in the Tulip City. “The beauty of our great country and our wonderful community is that we are a blend of many different backgrounds,” she said during an appearance on “WHTC Morning News” this week. “What we have to display here at the Civic Center is the richness of our culture, our community, and the spirit in which this community comes together.”
The festivities begin on Saturday at 11 AM with the rededication of the Queretaro Fountain in Kollen Park on its 20th anniversary, followed by a full day of entertainment and activities at the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, starting at 12 Noon. For more information, click here.
