HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The annual benefit for Wings of Mercy is set for Saturday.
A morning of activities at Care Affaire 2019 is slated for West Michigan Regional Airport. “If you are an active person and would like to our 5K, that will start at 8 AM (in the main terminal),” explained Judith Brewer of the volunteer group that helps patients gain access to treatment at far-off medical facilities without the financial burden of commercial flights. “The pancake breakfast will also start at 8 AM. There will be classic cars and hope to have some vintage airplanes. Hooligan’s Flight Team plans on doing a fly-over, and they will also be joining us for some pancakes so you can meet the pilots.
“We have free rides for kids ages 8 to 17, and we plan on having a helicopter there for paid rides to benefit Wings of Mercy.”
The pancake breakfast costs six dollars for those aged 14 and older, with 25 dollars for a family group of up to six. For more information, click here.
