HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – School is underway and the weekly Wednesday morning Kids Activities sessions at the Holland Farmers Market ends this week – can autumn be far behind?
In the final two-hour-long Kids Activities session on Wednesday, the staff of the Holland Area Arts Council will be on hand to help the youngsters craft their own Mr. Potato Heads using actual vegetables from market vendors to take home. There will be all of the traditional attachments for the children to use in creating their own version of the decades-old family favorite. The session begins at 9:30 AM with Market Story Time from the Herrick District Library. The Farmers Market continues its weekly Wednesday-Saturday run, from 8 AM to 3 PM both days, through the Saturday before Christmas.
Also on Wednesday, Molly Bouwsma-Schultz will perform during the hour-long Concerts in the Park weekly series at the GDK Park off of 8th Street west of Central Avenue in the Downtown District. The concert is free and open to the public. This series ends next Wednesday.
