HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A beach hazards statement is in effect from 10 a.m. today, Aug. 26, through Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 27, 2019. This applies to these Lakeshore counties: Allegan, Ottawa, Muskegon, Mason, Oceana, and Van Buren.
High waves and strong currents will create dangerous swimming conditions that will challenge even the strongest swimmer. Anyone going into the water should be wearing a life vest, but safety officials say under these conditions, it’s best to stay on dry land.
