IRVIN TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A 3-month old child is dead after a driver blew through a stop sign, smashing into another vehicle in Barry County.
It happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Eckert Road and Wood School Road in Irvin Township.
Barry County Sheriff deputies say a 26-year-old woman was traveling northbound in a 2001 Ford Taurus with two 3-month-old children in car seats when she ran a stop sign and struck a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, heading eastbound.
One child was pronounced dead at the scene. The conditions of everyone else involved were not released.
No names have been released at this time and the crash is still under investigation.
