HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Spring Lake resident Daniel Beckley Jr., 28, has been arraigned in Grand Haven Court on charges of operating while intoxicated causing death, after a fatal crash Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.
The near-head-on crash killed Muskegon resident Jennylynn Carletto, 60, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Buter.
It happened Friday afternoon on148th Avenue near Lori Lane, between State and Kelly streets.
The initial police investigation indicated that Beckley was speeding south on 148th Avenue in his 2003 Dodge pick up, but his truck crossed the center line hitting the 2009 Ford Escape Carletto was driving. She died at the scene. He wasn’t physically injured, according to police.
