UPDATE: Allegan County Sheriff’s officials say the driver in question contacted them, and it turns out he was letting children know the new school bus driver was running behind the expected schedule for picking up students. No one was at risk at any time, according to Sheriff’s officials.
HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Allegan County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a report of a suspicious man approaching several Allegan students at a bus stop at about 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, near the 2700 block of 113th in Allegan Township.
He asked the kids if they needed a ride; then left when the bus pulled up. The suspect is described as a mid-30’s white male, with a blond-ish goatee, wearing a white baseball cap, driving a dark-colored minivan.
