GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Tim Burkman’s stay along the Lakeshore wasn’t that long.
Executive Director of the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council for just 15 months, the long-time city engineer in Valparaiso, Indiana was unveiled by Grand Rapids city officials yesterday as the Calder City’s new engineer. Burkman returns to his roots, as he had 17 years of experience as a municipal engineer before moving north last July to replace Steve Bulthuis as the operational leader of the regional metropolitan planning organization. His first day on his new job is on October 21st.
The MAAC’s Policy Committee holds its next monthly meeting on Monday, with Chairman David Van Ginhoven expected to take over the executive director duties on an interim basis while a search for Burkman’s permanent replacement takes place.
