HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) – An 18-year-old Holland man was critically injured in a shooting at 3 E. 15th St. just after 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.
Police say the suspect is a light-skinned black male, last seen wearing a grey hoodie. Witnesses told police the victim and suspect were on the back porch of the home when the shooting happened.
The victim, shot multiple times, went by ambulance to Holland Hospital, then was transferred to Spectrum Health Butterworth in critical condtion.
Police searched the area using a K-9 unit, during an intermittent thunderstorm, until it appeared the suspect was no longer in the area. Hope College Campus Safety issued a shelter-in-place alert just after 8 p.m., lifting it after 9 p.m.
