The the money goes toward an $80,300 project: Buying an exhaust removal system for the fire station. It’s a package that includes necessary equipment for 10 vehicles, mechanical installation, electrical high- and low-voltage wiring, as well as the necessary tailpipe connections.
The exhaust removal system includes an EPA recognized filter box to filter the exhaust particulate before it gets into the atmosphere.
The track and hose system will remove virtually all exhaust emissions from the station as people enter and exit. The project includes a downdraft table where gas powered equipment can be serviced.
