HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland’s Fire Truck Parade is set to start at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 4, 2019, featuring Holland and other communities’ fire equipment.
The parade starts at the corner of Eighth Street and College Avenue, rolling down Eighth toward the Civic Cetner Place, where a Fire Prevention Open House will be underway. Visitors can expect an extrication demonstration at 8 p.m. and a side-by-side live fire sprinkler comparison at 8:30 p.m.
“The parade is a great thing,” said Capt. Chris Tinney. “But of equal value, probably more important value is being able to stop at the Civic Center to talk to everyboyd that’s there, that’ll be able to walk you through what you need to do.”
Firefighters, emergency dispatchers, and others will be at the Civic Center to chat with the public.
