HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 16-year-old West Olive resident was hospitalized after an early morning single-vehicle crash, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong
The crash, reported at 7:39 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, involved a white SVU that left the road and hit a tree, Wildfong said.
Deputies found that West Olive resident John Muoio, 16, at the wheel of a 1998 Ford Explorer, had been southbound on Butternut Avenue, and lost control of the SUV on slippery roads.
The Ford ran off the east side of Butternut, hitting a tree. Muoio went by ambulance to a nearby hospital with what Wildfong said were non-life-threatening injuries.
