ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Schools in Allegan County are getting the all clear after a vague school threat on social media was deemed not credible.
Deputies investigated the post which was made Tuesday night and showed a photo depicting a weapon and “a concerning statement regarding attending school,” but it did not specify a certain school.
School officials at Wayland Union Schools were notified of the investigation and detectives determined that the juvenile did not have access to a firearm, so activities went on as scheduled at the schools.
The incident will be sent to the Allegan County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if any charges will be brought against the juvenile.
