HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — A Lakeshore flood watch remains in effect from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.
Southwest winds will hit a consistent 40 mph, National Weather Service meteorologists predict, turning west as well as gusting up to 60 mph.
Waves along the lakeshore reach 10 feet or higher.
This may cause another round of significant erosion of beaches and dunes, flooding in low-lying areas — and could deliver a considerable beach debris.
Meteorologists are saying this storm may be worse than any other storm so far this fall. They are suggesting residents along the shoreline do what they can to protect their property.
In general, high winds also mean power outages are possible; airline flights may be delayed; drivers of high-profile vehicles could experience difficulty navigating; and downed trees and power lines could affect travel.
