HOLLAN D(WHTC-AM/FM) — The National Weather Service officials in Grand Rapids have issued a flood advisory, starting Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, for the following counties: Allegan, Ottawa, Muskegon and Van Buren.
Between 4 a.m .Wednesday, through 4 a.m Thursday, meteorogolists predict northwest winds hitting between 25 and 30 mph, causing waves to peak between 6 and 9 feet.
Waves should be the highest around sunset Wednesday, they say.
This could cause minor floods in parking lots and roads along the immediate lakeshore and minor erosion along beaches and sand dunes.
