HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 12, 2022) – Excitement is building as the 93rd Tulip Time Festival is in its sixth day on Thursday.
The first of two parades through downtown Holland is this afternoon with the Gentex Kinderparade, stepping off at 2 PM from the intersection of East 8th Street and Columbia Avenue and going west to Kollen Park. It will be preceded by Dutch Dancers performing at various points along 8th Street at 1:30 PM. We’ll provide coverage, beginning at 1:30 PM, on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
Early risers can enjoy a Tulip Time Photo Walk through Windmill Island Gardens from 8 AM to 10 AM, with another session for evening strollers from 7 PM to 9 PM. There is also a morning Walking Tour at Window on the Waterfront Park from 8:30 AM to 12 Noon.
Day-long activities include the First Bloem Festival Artwork Exhibit at Warehouse 6, the Tulip Immersion Garden at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, the Tulip Time Quilt Show at Beechwood Church; the Zeeland Girl Exhibit at the Holland Armory; and the Tall Ship Dockside Tours at the Boatwerks East Dock.
After the parade, enjoy the Carnival at the parking lot of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place; more Dutch Dancing on 8th Street; Guys on Ice performing at the Holland Community Theatre; and Fiddlefire’s concert at Central Wesleyan Church.
