HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The second of two opportunities for those who live, work or have some interest in the city of Holland to express their views to elected leaders is on Saturday.
Mayor Nancy DeBoer will be among a number of civic leaders on hand at Cento Anni’s Warehouse 6 off of East 6th Street for another “Coffee with Council” session. “It’s an opportunity for people to let us know, as we go into our budget planning, to think about what’s going on for this next year,” she said during an appearance on “WHTC Morning News” on Friday.
This is the first year that Council is holding two such “coffee” conversations after a 90-minute discussion in Council Chambers at City Hall prior to this past Wednesday’s work-study session. Topics such as the Civic Center and the future of the DeYoung power plant site have been discussed thus far.
Light refreshments will be provided during the event, which runs from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. Council will huddle with city staff for a budget priority “advance” session in two weeks, with a deadline for having a Fiscal 2019 spending plan in place by early May.
