LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A long-time Holland Township municipal official has been named to a state panel.
Governor Snyder’s office announced the appointment of Michael Winkler to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy. It’s 11 members “advises and assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with overseeing the practice of physical therapists,” according to a statement from the Governor’s office on Thursday.
Winkler, who now lives in Hamilton, was a building inspector for 35 years, including a stint with Holland Charter Township, and served on the Barrier Free Design Board as the municipal building inspector. Once this appointment is approved, he will represent the general public on the Board of Physical Therapy in a four-year term that runs through the end of 2021.
