HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – It looks as if a new annual tradition in Holland has taken root.
Officials of the Principal Shopping District say that over 16 thousand, 500 dollars was raised on February 3rd for 15 non-profit organizations during the first annual The Big Give charity shopping event. A total of 40 participating downtown retailers donated 15 percent of all sales to those organizations that were designated by shoppers and diners during each purchase made.
In a statement, Kelsey Vredeveld of Beacon Sotheby’s International Reality, the sponsor of the event, said that her company was “so thrilled” and that “we’re already looking forward to next year.”
