ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Zeeland police are being polite.
In a Facebook post, the department are calling vandals who victimized the Huizenga Park playground that is under renovation “some very naughty people.” This past weekend, the words “Timber Town 4 Ever” and less mentionable obscenities were spray painted in purple onto various apparatus.
The playground is undergoing a renovation costing more than a half a million dollars, as it is being transformed from a mostly-wood complex to one that is safer and sturdier, part of an overall overhaul of the park itself. The new playground is slated for a May opening.
