HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 10-year veteran of fighting fires in the Tulip City has earned a high honor.
David McDonald was named the 2017 Part-Paid Firefighter of the Year by the Holland Department of Public Safety. Nominated by his peers, the firefighter and emergency medical technician was recognized by the department for “his exemplary commitment to the preparation and readiness of the equipment at his assigned station, active involvement with community events, and consistent positive attitude,” according to Captain of Fire Operations Chris Tinney.
