HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Today (Sunday, April 8) is the last day for Holland residents to deposit yard clippings, shrub trimmings and twigs onto the curb or road shoulder for city pickup.
Street crews will begin collecting the debris, making one stop per residence, starting Monday. Property owners could be ticketed for putting yard refuse out after today, according to a statement from the city.
The National Weather Service’s Grand Rapids meteorologists predict sunny skies with a 39-degree high temperature.
Any heavy tree branches, stumps, garbage or bagged debris will not be removed; property owners must make other disposal arrangements, according to city policy.
Property owners are asked to protect the city’s storm infrastructure by avoid piling the debris onto or close to storm grates.
Residents unable to participate may request a Project Pride Coupon. Call (616) 355-1330 for details.
Spring Cleanup Program questions may be posed to Holland Transportation Services officials by phone or email: (616) 928-2400 or transportation@cityofholland.com.
