HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Consumers Energy customers are experiencing spotty power outages along the Lakeshore and inland, according to the company’s outage incident map.
More than 700 Park Township customers lost service just after 10 a.m., on the north side of Ottawa Beach Road. The company map reflected a large around and several hundred customers without power just north of the City of Allegan; about 300 without power in Lee Township; and more than 75 powerless in Laketown Township. A dozen or more tiny clusters of 20 to 35 dotted the Lakeshore.
Holland BPW’s outage map showed nearly 300 customers without service between 16th Street and East Lakewood Boulevard, roughly from Waverly (120th Avenue) to an area near PawPaw Park. Other smaller clusters were near 20th Street and Michigan Avenue and on 22nd Street and College Avenue.
Consumers’ officials remind customers to report outages immediately and stay at least 25 feet away from any downed power line, as well as anything it may be touching.
