HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland’s MAX Transit board meets this afternoon. On the agenda is a joint operations agreement with the Interurban Transit system in Saugatuck/Douglas.
Approval means that, starting in mid-May, Saugatuck/Douglas resident can make a once a week trip into Holland, that will help both transit systems increase ridership.
The rides are tentatively set for Tuesdays. at 9:45 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The board will also discuss cosolidating its banking accounts. Long-time executive director Linda LeFebre is on paid leave while police investigate the transit system’s banking practices and the possibility of embezzlement.
