UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) — After nearly 90,000 customers lost power during a Friday windstorm, Consumers Energy indictes service will be completely restored for most today, May 6, 2018. No outages remain from Grand Haven to South Haven, though about 20 southwest Grand Rapids’ customers were out of service as of 8:45 Sunday morning.
“As of 5 a.m., fewer than 5,000 customers remain without power,” the company said in a statement emailed to media early Sunday morning.
More than 170 workers from six states – Virginia, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio — responded to the call to help, working with some 1,500 Consumers employees in the hardest-hit areas on Saturday.
