HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM)– The Holland Museum’s second annual Trivia Night FUNraiser, held April 19, is being called a success.
The event drew more than 200 attendees to an evening of history trivia games, and refreshments provided by Wild Hog, deBoer’s Bakkerij and Big E’s.
Prizes were donated by The Holland Peanut Store, Apothecary, Crust 54, Curragh, Decadent Dogs, Fustini’s, Hops, Teerman’s, Cherry Republic, and BAM!
Guests were invited to create two or three-legged chairs from recycled materials, an activity “closely tied to the upcoming Smithsonian Institute Spark!Lab exhibition, opening at the Holland Museum August 3,” museum officials said in a statement emailed to media.
Event sponsors Elzinga & Volkers, Kennari Consulting, Macatawa Bank and Schreur Printing each had a question in the trivia rounds related to their business history.
“It was a fun, entertaining and educational evening. Everyone seemed to be having a blast! We are grateful to all the area businesses who donated or sponsored the event, to our table hosts and to everyone who attended,” Museum Executive Director Ricki Levine said via the emailed statement.
Planning for a third trivia night is underway.
