EDITOR’S NOTE: As of 11:30 a.m. July 4, 2018, US31 has reopened.
OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash on southbound U.S. 31, just south of Port Sheldon Road in Olive Township. Traffic is being diverted to Blair Street, north of Port Sheldon Road.
Initial reports indicate at least one vehicle may be a Herman Miller semi-tractor-trailer.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt.Brian Buter indicated all southbound lanes of US-31 at Port Sheldon St will be shut down and diverted for several hours during this investigation.
