OLIVE TWP (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a hit-and-run driver after an Olive Township crash that happened just before 5 p.m. yesterday, July 23, 2018. One big clue: the damaged right front bumper and missing headlight on a white Chevrolet — police say it may be a Malibu or Impala.
The crash happened at 112th Avenue and Port Sheldon Street, injuring two passengers in the other car, Cynthia Will, 62, of Hudsonville, and Rebecca Clymer, 59, of Ohio, with minor injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Spectrum Zeeland for treatment. The 62-year-old driver, Karl Will, was unhurt, as was his third passenger, Stephen Clymer.
The Chevrolet stopped at the stop sign, according to police, but as it entered the intersection, it hit Will’s vehicle and continued south on 112th Avenue without stopped. Parts of the car’s front right headlight assembly remained at the scene.
