PORT SHELDON TWP. (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a double shooting on the 15000 block of Barry Street in Port Sheldon Twp., which left a woman dead and a man critically wounded.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett said it appears the victims were husband and wife and that the man shot his wife, then himself. The man is in critical condition in a Grand Rapids hospital, Bennett said.
Police were alerted after a caller to the dispatchers reported receiving a digital message saying he’d heard there was a shooting at the home.
