HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Anyone who has witnessed a loved one’s journey after an Alzheimer’s diagnosis wants to find a cure.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is one way of raising research, according to Alzheimer’s Association event manager Noelle Frost. She says you can still get involved in the walk, which is just shy of two miles and starts with a loop around Kollen Park before heading up Washington Avenue.
Registration is 9 a.m. at the park and the walk starts at 10:30 a.m. near the Kollen Park band shell.
This year’s top fundraisers are Melissa Kooyers; Mary Jo Kiefer; and Don Vander Vliet. The top teams: Comfort Keepers of Holland; Remembering Mary Ann; and Sigma Kappa – Gamma Beta. The top three groups: Comfort Keepers; Edward Jones; and Sigma Kappa.
