CROCKERY TWP., MI (WHTC) – A crash apparently stemming from a medical condition hospitalized a 65-year-old Twin Lake woman, as well as three Spring Lake adults that were unfortunately in her way near Nunica last night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong, dispatchers were alerted around 6 PM to reports of a silver Buick on westbound Cleveland Street “all over the road” near the M-231 junction. “Moments later, it was reported that this car had crashed on M-104 near 130th (Avenue). It appears Patricia Robinson was having a medical issue as she drove westbound on M-104,” he said. “Her vehicle crossed the center line and struck the vehicle being driven eastbound by Michelle Bogi nearly head on.”
Robinson was pinned in her car and had to be extricated by rescue units. She was taken to Hackley Hospital in stable condition, while the 21-year-old Bogi, along with her 55-year-old mother and 66-year-old father, all went to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital, also in stable condition.
Cleveland Street was closed for 90 minutes as a result of the crash, which remains under investigation.
